Radio Players

The ’Advent Radio Players’ consists of congregation members and a few guests who recreate old time radio plays originally broadcast in the 1930s, 40s and 50s. These plays are performed ‘live’ in front of an audience and include ‘On-Air’ and ‘Applause’ lights as well as sound effects from the original broadcasts. Original scripts are used for each play along with commercials that aired during the broadcast. Each actor provides their own unique interpretation for characters they’re performing. Though each play is based on a radio broadcast, people dress up to get into their character.

Plays are performed twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall near the holidays.  You have the option to watch them ‘live’, view them on Advent’s Facebook page or even become one of the performers!

It’s a great time no matter how you get involved!!
